Time to put pure capsaicin in the chocolate syrup I guess.

Now that’s a blasphemy-book.

In all seriousness, isn’t this a bad message for a kid’s book? Children’s taste buds are picky enough without teaching them that foods they haven’t even tried are ‘yucky.’ *Green Eggs and Ham* is a classic because it teaches the opposite.

Disgusting propaganda from Big Chocolate. I took to spice very young, I remember being in elementary school and going to a party at my uncles. They had made Chile Colorado or something similar, and that shit was explosive spicy for me, but I loved it. I never looked back from there.

I agree, but my 3 year old thinks it’s dead on… She licked one of my peppers, freaked out, grabbed a soda (she has never had soda), drank it super fast and because the bubbles… It shot out her nose! Funniest crap I had seen in a while!!!

Big Chocolate backed by the Democratic Republic of Congo I fear is to blame.

“Chocolate sauce is yummy! Hot sauce is also yummy, but you have to work up to it and also it should be applied conservatively and on appropriate dishes when you’re just starting to try it out” was probably too long for the publisher, so they went with “hot sauce is yucky” instead.

No wonder we’re where we are in society. No one is raising their kids right.

We had that book for my daughter when she was little. I used to change it to yum, and she’d try to correct me.
